My Top 5 Google Doodles

Today's doodle celebrating the birthday of Robert Noyce founder of Intel

Every now and then , to celebrate some world event the brilliant guys at Google come up with a fun ( sometimes funny) doodle which they place on their homepage.
Recently these doodles have become even more creative and with HTML5 some of these animated doodles are truly awesome

This doodle won the 2011 Doodle 4 Google India contest . Drawn by the very young and talented Varsha Gupta from Greater Noida , it depicts various musical instruments.It's simple yet classy , nothing hi tech about it, but i loved it.

This was was to commemorate Jules Verne's 183rd birthday , on February 8 , 2011.This one has an HD version too.

We all grew up with the Pacman game.This one was on its 30th anniversary on May 21 , 2010.

...and my favourite - Les Paul's 96th birthday , June 9, 2011. In my opinion the BEST Google doodle till date .You can actually play the chords AND record and play back your music.And all this with HTML5 !! You have to love this one.

Honourable mention : This one would have made my list , if only i could find the link for the original animated one . Celebrating Alexander Calder's 113th birthday on July 22 , 2011 this doodle was another interactive marvel.
